PMI Global Summit Series 2025 in Barcelona
Introduction
My first experience at a Project Management Institute Summit was absolutely excellent!
The PMI Global Summit Series 2025 in Barcelona (April 6–8) was far more than just a conference—it was a vibrant celebration of the energy, creativity, and shared purpose that fuel the global project management community.
From thought-provoking discussions to spontaneous laughter in the hallways, this event was a powerful reminder of how impactful it is when professionals from around the world gather—not just to exchange ideas, but to challenge assumptions and stretch the boundaries of what’s possible.
A huge thank you to all the organizers and presenters for the fresh, innovative ideas and the high-quality sessions. A few moments that stood out for me:
🔹 Mick Ebeling founder of Not Impossible Labs, delivered an unforgettable keynote. One phrase that stayed with me: “Commit, then figure it out.” Bold, empowering, and so true.
🔹 Hats off to Laura Lazzerini Neuwirth, PMP®, PMO-CP®, Agile PgM, and Yasmina Khelifi, PMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-PBA for their brave and powerful presentation. I truly admire your courage and your message. Hopefully, together, we can break the glass ceiling.
🔹 Arief Prasetyo is a fantastic storyteller. He has so many stories—because he’s made so many stories through years of hands-on, challenging international work. It was inspiring to hear how he navigated complexity with wisdom and grace.
🔹 Edoardo Favari, PhD, PMP, PMI-ACP, ENV-SP, SSBB—what a brilliant session! His metaphor of gardening in relation to project management was spot-on. As someone who loves gardening, I might borrow that concept—Edo, I hope you don’t mind!
🔹 The final presentation by the two lovely sisters Izzy Wheels was a beautiful close to the summit. Their story was a reminder that sometimes, the simplest solutions are the most powerful. (I’ve emphasized a lot on simple solutions..)
It was also a true pleasure to reconnect with incredible friends and teammates.Gabriele Radaviciute (PfMP, PMP, RMP, CSPO, CSM)Laura Lazzerini Neuwirth, PMP®, PMO-CP®, Agile PgM,Edoardo Favari, PhD, PMP, PMI-ACP, ENV-SP, SSBBArief Prasetyo I’m really proud of you all—we shared great moments and lots of laughs. I hope we meet again soon.
And finally, it was an honor to speak with Pierre Le Manh. We discussed several topics, including the Persian community within PMI. With his and his amazing team’s support, I’m hopeful that we can move things forward in this area.
To everyone I met, learned from, laughed with, or felt inspired by—thank you.
Let’s keep growing, questioning, and shaping a future where projects truly make a difference
